iv never heard of them put a camera inside during the pregnancy, but that's not to say, this is not .... alls I can think of that are related to amniocentesis.

Amniocentesis. This test, performed 16 to 20 weeks of pregnancy, involves the removal of a small amount of amniotic fluid through a needle inserted into the abdominal cavity. The cells can be examined for the presence of chromosomal abnormalities. Amniocentesis has a low risk of complications such as premature birth and miscarriage.
Chorionic villus sampling (CVS). CVS does that mean a small sample of the placenta, also through a needle inserted into the abdominal cavity. The advantage of this test is that it can be carried out before amniocentesis, 8 to 12 weeks. The disadvantage is that it has a slightly higher risk of complications spontaneous abortion and others.

Hope that help?

This would be a prenatal intrauterine laparoscopy. And it is very dangerous for the pregnancy, so that a leak of amniotic ALT best and at worst, cause infection, a complete rupture of the membranes and preterm delivery / miscarriage. Only in extreme circumstances (such as a precursor of prenatal surgery), and will never voluntarily (as you do not ask your doctor, "Hey, I think I would see my child in a room").
Amniocentesis, however, where the needle is inserted into the amniotic sac and draw a sample of fluid. It is with the risk of miscarriage, sac / breakage that too, but much less, but generally for genetic tests (eg Down syndrome used)
Why do you ask?

I do not think he would do if you had a serious problem. It is a lay in which a needle and remove the amniotic fluid, called amniocentesis.
